Do you recognize the world? A lot has changed hasn't it?
Everything seems like it has come to a halt. But you know what? Love is not cancelled. Friendships are not cancelled. Emotional support is not cancelled. We are here for you... you are part of our family.
Our mission has always been to connect people with themselves and their loved ones. So, when we heard about #thefrontstepsproject, it inspired us to add a bit of King & Fields flavor and celebrate the precious time, love and connection we are rediscovering amongst ourselves.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Beginning March 23rd, we are taking five minute portraits of your family and loved ones at your front porch. This includes you, your spouse, your children and your pets!
Simply fill out the form below and we will call you to schedule the day and time.
We will call you as we are arriving.
You can step outside. We will stand in your driveway or street at least 10 feet away!
We will laugh, celebrate, give each other 'air-hugs' as we photograph you.
We will email you your photograph within a few days and share it on our Instagram & Facebook.
There is no cost to this!
WHAT'S THE CATCH?
None. This is a documentary project designed to uplift the community and help a local nonprofit.
1. We simply ask that you make a donation to Children's Museum of the Lowcountry, if you can. More than 80% of their revenue relies on in-person visits and 20% on donations. With the current social distancing guidelines, they are looking for all the help we all can give them.
2. By filling out the form, you're allowing us to share your photograph(s) and story online and print (similar to the book 'Humans of New York').
BUT WAIT, THERE IS A TWIST:
We want you to showcase one or two words that describes what this time with your family has meant to you. This can something you create on a large poster-board, whiteboard, or a t-shirt - get creative :-)
Hold this sign up loud and proud with your family! Don't worry, we will photograph you with and without the sign.
